Fuel for the Market
For a trader, the morning routine dictates the day’s performance. Before I open my charts and face the market’s volatility, I need clarity and energy. This is why breakfast at Voila!, Sofitel’s signature restaurant on the 2nd floor, is non-negotiable. It is not just a hotel buffet; it is a meticulously curated gourmet marketplace that wakes up your senses.
The “Sain” Detox Station
I always start my meal at the juice station. Sofitel puts a strong emphasis on “De-light” and wellness choices. The display of chilled, freshly squeezed juices in glass bottles is impressive. Whether it’s a detox green juice or a refreshing guava blend, grabbing a cold bottle from the fridge is the perfect way to reset the body before a heavy meal.

The Signature Egg Menu: Thai vs. Western
The real game-changer at Voila! is their dedicated Egg Menu. Unlike typical buffets where you just point and wait, here they present an à la carte menu featuring everything from classic Eggs Benedict to Poached Eggs.
My absolute recommendation? Forget the standard Western omelette for a day and order the Thai Omelette (Kai Jeow). It arrives perfectly golden and crispy on the edges, yet fluffy inside. It is savory, rich, and pairs perfectly with rice. While their Western omelette is technically flawless, the Thai Omelette offers that distinct local flavor that lingers in your memory.

Live Stations: The Heart of the Kitchen
The highlight of Voila! is the open kitchen concept. You can feel the energy of the chefs preparing food right in front of you. My personal favorite is the Noodle Station. Nothing beats a hot bowl of Thai boat noodles with rich broth to start the morning in Bangkok.
Next to it, the Egg Station is highly efficient. Whether you need a protein-packed boiled egg or a perfectly folded omelet, the staff executes orders with precision. It’s this consistency that I appreciate most.

Local Delicacies and Hot Dishes
Beyond eggs, the hot food station is substantial. I often build my plate with Pad Woon Sen (Stir-fried Glass Noodles) and Crispy Pork, enjoying the texture contrast. The open kitchen creates a lively atmosphere, and seeing the chefs prepare the roast of the day adds a touch of Sunday brunch luxury to a regular weekday morning.

A Sweet Finish
Finally, walking past the bakery section is dangerous—the smell of freshly baked French pastries is irresistible. I usually end my meal with fresh tropical fruits like watermelon and pineapple, displayed beautifully on crushed ice. It keeps the meal balanced and leaves me feeling light enough to head to the gym.

Coming Up Next
